Animal Control- PAWS and Police Dispatch- Animal complaints are handled primarily by the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) at 243-1525. The Niceville Police Department provides support for PAWS after hours and during emergencies at 729-4030. City licenses for cats and dogs can be purchased at the Utility Billing Dept.
Parks Department- Director Rick Van Dyke; Supervisor Ken Filson This department is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining the beautiful landscaping throughout the City of Niceville, along with various other projects. Comments or suggestions on park improvement are always welcome.
Repair and Maintenance Department- Supervisor Willie Hines Call to report problems with street signs, traffic signs, safety hazards, and traffic markings. Our goal is to make the city as safe as humanly possible for all residents. Please report any potential problems.
Sanitation Department- Supervisor David Lessard (850) 729-4064- The city will collect all of the following: trees cut no longer than 6 feet, bagged leaves, bagged grass, appliances, furniture, and construction/demolition debris (left by a resident, not a contractor). Yard Waste Removal Guidelines are listed below.
Streets Department- Supervisor Kenny Bishop Call to report potholes in the pavement, drainage problems, and obstructions in the right-of-way. Comments or suggestions on improvement are always welcome.
Water and Sewer Department- Superintendent Jerry Regans Call to report water leaks on the city side of water meters, trouble with city sewer lines, or for information about the city water system. For information concerning water bills or deposits, call City Hall at 729-4000.
